Clash of Queens: Creamline and Capital1 Headline Today’s PVL Double-Header
MANILA, Philippines — The spotlight shifts to the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan today, February 21, as the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference serves up a high-stakes double-header featuring a historic matchup and a battle for mid-table momentum.
4:00 PM – Creamline Cool Smashers vs. Capital1 Solar Spikers
The opening match is more than just a quest for standings; it is being billed as the "Clash of Queens." For the first time in an official professional match, two of the UAAP's most decorated three-time MVPs—Alyssa Valdez and Bella Belen—will face off on opposite sides of the net.
-
Creamline (2-1): After a rocky start to the conference, the Cool Smashers are finding their rhythm. Led by the precision of Jia De Guzman and the scoring prowess of Bernadeth Pons, the defending champions aim for a third consecutive victory.
-
Capital1 (2-2): The Solar Spikers are coming in with massive confidence following a gritty five-set upset of Choco Mucho. All eyes are on Bella Belen, who recently exploded for a career-high 29 points.
"I'm really excited because I want to see how our team performs against a champion team like Creamline. They have a well-established system," said Belen ahead of the matchup.
6:30 PM – ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles vs. Farm Fresh Foxies
In the nightcap, two young squads look to solidify their positions in a crowded middle-of-the-pack race.
-
ZUS Coffee (1-3): The Thunderbelles, led by top pick Thea Gagate and veteran Jovelyn Gonzaga, are eager to bounce back after a tough four-set loss to Creamline last Tuesday.
-
Farm Fresh (1-2): The Foxies are riding high after a dominant straight-sets win over Galeries Tower. Coach Koji Tsuzurabara will lean on Trisha Tubu and a returning Jolina Dela Cruz to try and secure back-to-back wins.
